WHAT IS PASSIVE OWNERSHIP

Do You Want to Run Your Franchise or Simply Own It

Passive Ownership models allow you to Hire a General Manager to Handle the Day-to-Day

What does passive ownership or semi-absentee ownership mean in a franchise?

It means the franchise owner is not expected to be involved in the daily operations of the franchise. This is normally permitted and achieved by appointing a general manager(s) by the franchise owner to oversee the daily operations.

Passive ownership or semi-absentee ownership is available in some but not all franchising opportunities. Before a franchisor launches their franchise, they make the determination if their model will allow passive-ownership or semi-absentee.

When I perform a search for those who choose to work with me, I’m able to filter on or off these types of operating models.

These sorts of opportunities are usually good “side-gig” opportunities for those who want to remain working in corporate and continue to earn an incremental income. I can introduce you to many passive-ownership and semi-absentee opportunities in any industry.
